Should I fast before or after?
There is no need for fasting before or after a session. We recommend eating lightly on the day of your session and staying away from carbs, fats, and dairy products. Plenty of water should be taken in the days prior to your colon hydrotherapy session to help your body rehydrate.
How will I know when the colon is empty?
It will probably never be empty, as it is an organ in continuous use. As more of the old, impacted material is released you will actually feel the water enter higher regions of the colon without any sense of obstruction. The objective ought not to be an empty colon, but rather a well-functioning colon.
What is the colon?
The colon, or large intestine, is a key part of the digestive system, about 5-6 feet long and 2 ½ inches wide. It absorbs water and electrolytes, synthesizes nutrients like vitamins B and K, and houses beneficial bacteria that support immunity. Keeping it healthy with good nutrition and regular bowel movements is essential for overall well-being.
Why is colon health so important?
The colon, along with the skin, kidneys, and lungs, is a major organ for the elimination of toxins and waste. If bowel movements are irregular, waste products and toxins can build up. These accumulated poisons are often re-absorbed into the bloodstream where they may be carried to other tissues and organs of the body, compromising our health.
How many sessions are needed?
This truly depends on the individual. For many people, a mild cleanse may be sufficient, while others may take more sessions to remove years of built-up toxins.
What is colon toxicity?
The colon, along with the skin, kidneys, and lungs, is a major organ for the elimination of toxins and waste. If bowel movements are irregular, waste products and toxins can build up. How is a session given?
During the 45-minute session, the client lies comfortably on a table in a private room, fully draped. They self-insert a disposable rectal tip about 2-3 inches into the rectum. Water is gently introduced into the colon through a small tube, and waste is removed through a large evacuation opening. There's no odor or mess, and privacy and dignity are maintained.
We use Angel of Water, a FDA-approved, Class II medical device with disposable, sealed nozzles/tips.
What type of equipment is used?
No, treatments are not dangerous to your body.
Is it habit forming?
Colon hydrotherapy is not a cure or treatment for a disease. It is an adjunctive therapy that can assist the body in the detoxification process. Although weight loss is not a primary goal of colon hydrotherapy, removing excess fecal material may allow the body to function better and thereby increase metabolic processes which may lead to weight loss.
What results can I expect?
Colon hydrotherapy is not painful. Our rectal tips/nozzles are extremely comfortable and very flexible. It can be inserted and removed with very little discomfort.
Is it painful?
Ideally, with three meals a day, three bowel movements are optimal. However, most people typically eliminate once or twice daily. If our elimination system is sluggish, toxins accumulate faster than they're removed, posing risks. Colon hydrotherapy helps remove toxins and excess fecal material, aiding in overall protection and well-being.
Would I benefit from Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy helps to restore normal bowel flora. This imbalance usually comes from years of improper eating, lack of exercise, and poor elimination. Colon hydrotherapy, in combination with a good diet and supplements, can help bring back this essential flora, which is responsible for the synthesis of valuable nutrients.
